The Outside View
For business owners who need more than an assessment — they need a plan, a path, and someone to navigate it alongside them.
Most business owners are too close to their own business to see it clearly — it's what happens when you're in something every day. Certain things become invisible: the structural gaps, the misaligned priorities, the assumptions that made sense five years ago but don't anymore.
The Outside View is a two-phase engagement that changes that.
I come in from the outside, speak confidentially with your key people, and examine how the business actually operates. Then I synthesize everything into one integrated picture — honest, plain-language, and prioritized.
At the end of Phase 1 you have a clear picture of where the business actually stands, what's working, what needs attention, and a practical action plan for what to do first.
Phase 1 - The Assessment
Phase 2 - Navigation
The assessment establishes your ground. The Navigation Program takes it from there.
Using a disciplined framework and a set of proven tools I've developed, we get clear on where you want to go, take stock of what you have to work with, and build the roadmap to get there. Then we work together to execute — weekly sessions, real decisions, forward momentum.
Every Navigation Program is different because every business is different. The framework is consistent. The application is all yours.
TOOLS & RESOURCES
-
Books
I love books. I get inspired just by being surrounded by books. Business books, cookbooks, travel memoirs — my choices are very personal and may not be right for you —or maybe not right now. These are the ones I share the most.
-
Questions
Asking yourself and your team the right questions at the right time, can make all the difference when you’re problem solving or looking at business strategy. The Who, What, Why, When and How are your tools to go deeper.
-
Checklists
I also love lists. Not everyone does and that’s okay. Maybe you like mind maps or sticky notes. Whatever helps you stay focused and maintain a sense of control over your business. These can be adapted to suit your work style.
