Every business has a unique story to tell, and I've had the privilege of being part of many fascinating chapters. My journey has taken me from revitalizing golf courses and reimagining restaurant experiences to launching media brands and managing resorts. My experience spans industries and business models, and each venture has taught me something powerful about what makes businesses thrive — lessons I now share with other entrepreneurs.   • Farm Food Drink


    Farm Food Drink is a team of food business experts, specializing in market research, business planning, marketing and training. They are a full service agency, focused solely on small food producing and food processing businesses across Canada. In my role as Business Development Strategist I help the Farm Food Drink team as well as our clients with business strategy and direction.

  • Vancouver Island Food Magazine

    Edible Vancouver Island

    A foodie at heart, I co-founded Edible Vancouver Island in 2018. Edible is a print magazine, online culinary resource and digital marketing network which shares stories of the local food & drink culture of our region. I strategically exited the role of Publisher and co-owner in 2021 but continue to consult with the new team in the area of business development and sales.

    Paradise Valley Golf


    Paradise Valley isn't just a golf course — it's where we've spent over 15 years crafting the perfect "fun golf experience for everyone." As co-owner and managing partner, I've guided our evolution from a simple golf course into a year-round destination complete with a restaurant, event centre, and Toptracer range. While our team handles daily operations, I focus on steering our strategic direction through business planning, finance, and marketing strategy. My genius zone.

  • Outdoor Adventure Travel

    Mill Bay Marine Group

    Adventure Co Destinations is a new division of the Mill Bay Marine Group in BC, essentially rebranding their business as they expand into new locations with a focus on accommodations and adventure travel. As Business Development Strategist, my role is to help implement marketing and growth strategies to position Adventure Co as a global hospitality brand.

  • Island Eats Cookbook

    Published in October, 2021, this collection of stories and recipes boasts locally minded, soul-satisfying dishes that inspire readers to cook and to visit the Vancouver Island region. The book was co-authored by myself and local food writer Joanne Sasvari.

  • Tofino Resort + Marina

    Tofino Resort + Marina is the adventure hub of Tofino. With wilderness tours, fishing charters, kayaking, a remote sauna experience and one of the best restaurants in town, this hotel is the ideal getaway for adventure-seekers. As interim General Manager, I worked with the owners and management team to position the resort for continued growth and success.

  • Golfuture Driving Range

    The Golfuture Driving Range at Paradise Valley, built in Spring 2022, is powered by Toptracer Technology. As co-owner of this year-round facility, my goal was to provide an entirely new “fun golf experience for everyone” in the community of Medicine Hat and Southeastern Alberta. It has been designed specifically to focus on the casual, social aspect of the game of golf.

  • Okanagan Eats Cookbook

    Okanagan Eats is a beautiful hardcover cookbook featuring stories and recipes from the finest restaurants, cafes, brew pubs and bakeries in British Columbia’s Okanagan region. Co-authored with Joanne Sasvari, this cookbook was published in September, 2023.

  • Hekate’s Retreat


    Hekate’s Retreat is a new adventure destination in Haida Gwaii, owned by the Purdey Group of Companies and operated by Adventure Co Destinations. It offers oceanside golf, restaurant, accommodation and adventure experiences. Haida Gwaii is on many bucket lists, but business and marketing strategy for the remote location requires creative thought.

  • The Clubhouse at Paradise Valley

    The Clubhouse at Paradise Valley was designed to offer a year-round creekside location for dining, special events and business meetings. Consistently rated as one of the top 5 restaurants and event centres in Medicine Hat, we have owned the Clubhouse now for 15 years.

  • LP | Mindset Mentor

    Creator of the Higher Order Thinking Program for Business Leaders, Les Postnikoff works with leadership teams who are looking for a new way of approaching problems and working together. As an advisor on his team my focus is on business planning and marketing.

  • KEM Productions

    Karen Elgersma Media (KEM) is a boutique video production agency that specializes in story driven content. KEM purchased Edible Vancouver Island in 2021, and I now consult with the team as they produce videos and share editorial and sponsored content on multiple platforms.

  • Catalyste+ (Previously CESO)

    Catalyste+ is a Canadian economic development organization which partners with businesses and communities in emerging countries and Indigenous communities in Canada. As an Advisor with Catalyste+ I have worked with Indigenous business owners as well as the Binh Thuan Tourism Association in Vietnam to help create their Marketing Strategy.

  • Edible Communities

    Edible Communities (ECI) is a media company that creates rich, community-based, local-foods publications in distinct culinary regions across North America. I worked with ECI to expand the Edible Brand across Canada and to support local food initiatives across the country.
