Limiting Beliefs

“If you accept a limiting belief, then it will become a truth for you.”
— Louise Hay

“Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it at the beginning.”
— Mahatma Gandi

Limiting Beliefs are beliefs that limit what you believe is possible for yourself or for what you want in your life. They could be about you, other people, or the world in general. When you have limiting beliefs, you often won’t allow good things to show up in your life because deep down you don’t believe that you are worthy. Limiting beliefs keep you from seeing what is possible for yourself and for your business.

Here are some examples:

  • I don’t deserve good things to happen to me

  • You can’t do everything, you have to choose

  • Money doesn’t grow on trees

  • Nothing lasts forever

  • I don’t have enough … time, money, experience, brains, support, etc.

  • I never win anything, I’m not lucky

  • Everyone else gets all the good stuff

  • There is not enough for everyone

  • Its not spiritual to have a lot of money

  • I will be happy “when”... (I have more money, time, when the kids move out, when I finish this project, etc.)

What are some beliefs that you have, that might be limiting your personal growth?
